If you’re going to watch Summer Height High SeeSaw, get ready for eight hilarious and irreverent episodes of what some have joking called the *Real* High School Musical. SeeSaw has the entire eight episodes of this Logie Award-winning Australian television mockumentary TV show series. It was written and directed by, and stars, Chris Lilley a 30 something year old Australian comedian, television producer, actor and writer.

Chris has produced a parody of high-school life epitomized by the shows three protagonists who are all played by Lilley. There’s the effeminate and ego-maniac “Director of Performing Arts” the self named drama teacher, Mr G, the self-absorbed, spoiled, privileged teenager Ja’mie King, and the disobedient, always vulgar student from Tongan, Jonah Takalua. These three characters never interact on the show, alleviating the need for any fancy production room editing or quick costume changes.

Filmed in Melbourne at Brighton Secondary College, Lilley uses some of the students there as the non-actors playing supporting characters. While Summer Heights High was a huge ratings success for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, complaints from parents and some teachers centered on the possibility that the show was influencing children to misbehave at school. Each episode of Summer Heights High was also released as a weekly podcast directly after its TV on air showing via the show’s official website. Now, all eight episodes are available to watch Summer Heights High SeeSaw online for free!
