This is the predicament of victims of abuse. And sometimes the predicament of employees in an unhealthy work environment.

I'm grateful to be in neither situation and have great empathy for anyone facing either situation and I especially feel empathy for battered women who work in an abusive work environment. The unwinding of adapting to sickness is a major effort. More on where to get help tomorrow.
